The Catalunya Europa Foundation presents the book Women in the Shadow of European Construction, by journalist Júlia Manresa, at the Library of the European Parliament in Brussels. The event will feature the author herself and Lina Gálvez, MEP and Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality.
The book is the result of Manresa’s master’s thesis, which was awarded the Pasqual Maragall Legacy Prize in 2023. The work highlights the fundamental —yet often overlooked— role of various women in building the European project, offering a critical and feminist perspective that calls for a more accurate and inclusive memory of the Union.
