JOIN THE MAKER CHALLENGE AND BUILD A BETTER SOCIETY

How can we improve the health and wellbeing of everyone?
How can we reduce the waste we generate?
Would you like to improve something in your city?
You have the chance to imagine it and make it possible!
Sign up for the Maker Challenge and share your ideas!

What?

The Maker Challenge is a learning challenge on innovation with an impact where you will solve real life problems by using your maker ideas.

Who?

Creative minds up to 18 years old, in a team or individually, from all over the world.

How?

In a 5-stage-process with workshops where we will help you solve the challenge and build it through digital fabrication. If you cannot come, don't worry; you can participate online!

When?

During Easter break, April 15th to 18th

4 workshops of 4 hours and a half each
Personalised coaching hours at the maker space
Final event at the Maker Faire BCN mid-June.

Where?

At the Barcelona Learning Innovation Community*, even though you can also participate online from anywhere in the world.

Timeline

Monday April 15^th (9am-1:30pm): Introduction to Design Thinking, inspiration stage and definition of the challenge.
Tuesday April 16^th (9am-1:30pm): Digital fabrication workshop. Insights, ideation and low-fi prototyping.
Wednesday April 17^th (9am-1:30pm): Elaboration of the advanced prototype with an expert and digital fabrication tools.
Thursday April 18^th (9am-1:30pm): Prepare the presentation and improve the prototype.
Mid-June: Presentation event and awards at the Maker Faire Barcelona.
