The International Conference on Doctoral Programmes in the Field of Social Work aims to be a space for the exchange of doctoral experiences in Social Work, either of specific programmes in the discipline, or of programmes where there is a line of research to which doctoral theses can be ascribed, which are carried out within the fields of Social Work and Social Services.
With this exchange, we also want to contribute to consolidating the highest level of studies in the field of social work, offering a space for collaboration and joint work between different universities promoted by the Spanish Conference of Deans and Directors of Social Work.
This international conference represents the concretion of the idea put forward during the Symposium on Doctoral Programmes of the III International Congress and XII Congress of Faculties and Schools of Social Work held in Deusto last November 2018.
The conference will take place in Madrid, in the Faculty of Social Work of the Complutense, in order to facilitate the movement of all those interested in participating. Registration will be free of charge and, logically, travel and accommodation costs will be borne by the interested parties and/or their institutions.
In addition to deans and directors of centers that teach social work, the main target groups are both professors and researchers who supervise doctoral theses in the field of social work and doctoral students who are developing these theses.
