We are participating in the Open Administration Week 2023. We are presenting the training program of the Development Area of the Spanish Government Delegation in Catalonia, which has been running for 4 years. The presentation, aimed at the university and architectural sectors, will consist of a sample of work resulting from the university practices that have been carried out during this period.

THE PALAU MONTANER

Palau Montaner, completed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner (1849-1923), the great Catalan Art Nouveux Architect of modernism, who introduced ornamental elements and expanded the eaves of the building designed by his predecessor in the work. In addition, on the outside of the third floor he represents a series of glazed ceramics of Pre-Raphaelite figures, designed by him, on Arts and Publishing, which balances the proportions of the facades. Inside, he draws a wide lobby with an imperial stone staircase with floral and zoomorphic sculptural elements. Above is a large glass mosaic skylight that illuminates the entrance with zenithal light. Domènech i Montaner is surrounded by a team of the best craftsmen of the applied arts of the period: with the mosaics of Lluís Bru, the sculptures of Eusebi Arnau, the cabinetry and fabrics of Gaspar Homar, the forge of Francesc Tiestos and the stained glass windows of Antoni Rigalt.
